Taylor Blake Ward

Taylor Blake Ward began his career within the baseball world in 2012. Taking the advice of a friend, Ward attended a job fair where he was brought on as a sales intern by the High Desert Mavericks of the California League. Short of a full eight-hour shift, Ward was asked to head the Media Relations and Broadcast Department for the team.

By 2013, Ward had been brought on by Scout.com to cover the Los Angeles Angels and Major League Baseball Draft. Over his eight years covering the Angels and MLB Draft for multiple outlets, he has built an audience centered around prospect content.

After leaving the Locked On Podcast Network in 2020, Ward focused on building an outlet for his prospect coverage as an independent affiliate. The creation of HomePlateView.com is his work coming to fruition, and a pursuit of in-depth coverage of prospects across all baseball; from amateur, to international, to professional.
